As at March 2014, the BBC reported that Nigerians spent over $6.5 billion dollars on private jets, making it one of the fastest-growing luxury jet industries in the world. Meanwhile, among these Nigerians, there are some who own more than one plane.
The number of private jets being acquired by the super-rich class of business moguls, bankers, pastors, politicians and oil magnates in the country has put Nigeria as one of the fastest growing private jet markets in the world.

ORJI UZOR KALU tops the chart of private jet owners in Nigeria – he has five, the largest private jet fleet in Nigeria, and in the early hours of Thursday, 18 th September 2014, his fifth jet, a Gulfstream G650, made its maiden entry into the Nigerian airspace after it touched down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.
